Chapter 3 – Home Date

The night before our date. After I’ve finished bathing and completed my muscle training, I opened my LINE. Laying down on my bed, I proceeded to exchange a lengthy conversation with Rui.

[Sara: Rui?]

[Rui: Yes?]

[Sara: Don’t forget. Tomorrow.]

[Rui: Yes.]

[Sara: I’ll be doing some unspeakable things to you. Prepare yourself.]

It took a while before her next message came.

[Rui: Scary.]

[Sara: I took the trouble to notify you first before anything else. Unlike a certain someone who did it out of nowhere, I’m way more considerate, don’t you think?]

[Rui: What will you do to me?]

[Sara: I’ll make you feel good.]

[Rui. Be more specific.]

[Sara: Can’t. Depending on the atmosphere during the real thing, I might have to derail from my initial plans and all.]

[Rui: That so?]

[Sara: Anyway, why do you ask so many questions? You want to rehearse it? Image training?]

[Rui: No.]

[Sara: You don’t need to worry, I’m definitely gonna make you feel good.]

[Rui: I’m not worrying!]

[Rui: Whatever.]

[Rui: Bath.]

[Sara: Rui.]

[Rui: Yes?]

[Sara: Keep your body clean for me.]

[Rui: Seriously, what the hell are you going to do to me?!]

I could imagine her washing her body with a blush on her face, wondering what exactly was I going to do to her. Before I realized it, there was a smile on my face. Hopefully, this little pre-emptive attack would work.

After a good night’s sleep, the day of the date had arrived.

Sunday afternoon.

After leaving the ticket gate, I made my way to my destination.

I’ve told her that I’d give all my efforts to dressing up for today, but since our main agenda was actually to do some work for the committee, I had to bring my school bag with me. In the end, my appearance was less flashy than I liked because I needed to match my dress with the school bag.

The air had grown colder in the last few days, so I wore a camel collarless coat with a black scarf wrapped around it. This was the style I recently came to like.

Since it was Sunday afternoon and all, the area near the station was crowded. Apparently Rui was already waiting for me here, but I didn’t know where she was.

Oh, wait, there she was. Amidst the constant flow of people going back and forth, a certain figure standing below the clock tower with crossed arms stood out from the rest.

Her presence felt exaggerated, as if there were spotlights shining on her.

Mareshino Rui already looked like a sublime beauty in her school uniform, but seeing her dressed in casual clothes like this gave me the impression of, ‘a timeless beauty.’

She was wearing a beige coat with a knit top underneath it. If it wasn’t obvious already, she wore a long flared skirt. Those of you who thought she’d wear pants on an occasion like this, too bad.

Her skirt was prettily embroidered, but even that was pale in comparison to her face. Normally, she had a rather subdued charm, but this combination of clothes managed to unearth every last bit of it. Even among these crowds, her beauty made her stand out from others.

Seeing it made me feel a little— No, really, REALLY excited.

After all, such a pretty girl was MY lover. Her hands, manicured to perfection looked gorgeous, and whenever I saw them, I noticed that my mood would instantly get better.

We haven’t even done anything yet and I was already this excited…this…happy…

“Sorry for the wait.”

I raised my hand to get her attention. For some reason, she frowned at me in dissatisfaction. What? I came here on time!

“You’re late.”

“No I’m not.”

“Isn’t it common sense to come earlier just in case there’s an accident or something?”

She still had that honor student mentality even on our days off, huh?

I patted her on the head. Maybe she thought that if she were to wear heels, she’d at least look taller than me, but the blank stare she gave me as she looked up on me clearly showed that all her hopes and dreams had completely shattered.

My height was 164 cm, while hers was 160 cm. Mere heels wouldn’t be able to make up the differences, let alone surpass them.

“You know, if you were to get shorter, it’ll be easier for me to pet you.”

“That isn’t possible! And even if it is, I won’t get shorter for you!”

I felt the curious stares from the crowds. Look, I knew she was pretty and all, but this girl was mine, okay?

“Anyway, my car is this way, in the nearby parking lot.”

“You brought your car to pick me up? My, thank you.”

“No…”

Because we were outside, she seemed to be unsure on how to treat me. This contrasted with how she usually acted at school, where she wouldn’t hold back on anything.

“So, before you slept, you thought about doing some things with me, then you woke up, ate your breakfast, got ready and picked me up? Did my words last night get you all excited for today?”

“…No. It’s committee work, nothing to get excited about.”

“Yes, obviously. But you know that I’m talking about the things that we’d do after we finish our work.”

“…”

At my words, she furrowed her brows in disapproval. With red cheeks, she proceeded to warn me.

“…L-Let me remind you that my family will be there.”

“As long as you won’t let out any embarrassing noises, we’ll be fine.”

“E-Embarrassing noises…? A-Are you really going to—”

“Yes.”

I nodded without even thinking twice. Seeing my reaction, she blushed even harder before averting her gaze.

“W-What happened yesterday was completely my fault, I know that much at least…b-but please don’t go too far…”

“Huh? Of course I won’t. What are you even talking about? You’re my previous lover, there’s no way I’d do something strange to you, Rui.”

At this point, we were already walking side by side. She stopped in her tracks and looked up to me.

But, before she could say anything, she blushed even harder before averting her gaze again.

“…Right…I’m your…lover…”

“…Yes…”

We were just walking to the parking lot nearby, but for some reason the atmosphere made it feel like we were going to a hotel to have our first time together. Considering that someone from Rui’s house would be picking us up, this was a completely wrong atmosphere. I screwed up.

The delicate air made our conversation died down. Somehow, it felt like we became more and more like an actual couple. Things weren’t supposed to develop like this, but it was kinda funny that it did.

When I took a glance at Rui, I noticed that her ears were beet red.

What was going on inside her mind, I wonder? It was at times like this that I wished I could just peer inside of her mind, trying to find out what exactly was her feelings towards me. Or at least, what kind of things was she expecting me to do to her, that would make today’s ordeal easy for me.

Wait, why did it sound like I was conscious of her? No, no, I was just excited because I got to meet up with such a pretty girl on my day off, nothing more! Anyway, I needed to calm down! Breathe in, breathe out.

At one point, Rui started increasing her walking pace, and I kept up with her. After a while, we arrived at the nearby parking lot. And there came my first surprise of the day.

…S-So…i-if my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me…that was a black limousine…

A-And the driver was…a maid…yes, apparently a real maid existed in this day and age. She was a hella pretty one too. The maid bowed at me and I returned her bow.

Still in disbelief, I whispered to the pretty girl beside me in a low voice.

“…R-Rui, I need an explanation.”

“…I understand your feelings. In fact, I thought that my family was a normal family until I was in middle school.”

She said, but from her tone it sounded like she was making up an excuse.

Then, we went to her house by car, and we arrived in ten minutes…um…did I say house? Yeah, I lied. It was a whole mansion. What did she say about a normal family? Which part of this was normal again?

Her house was surrounded by tall walls, and there was a huge gate by the entrance and a door for staff use. As we passed by the gate, a well-maintained lawn came into my sight. There were some cars parked nearby, and each one of them were luxury cars…it felt like I just got teleported into some castle in Europe. The electricity bill of this place would definitely cost at least a few hundred thousand yen a month.

After getting off the limousine, the maid escorted us to the entrance of the house. Behind the door, a hallway, large enough that they even let me go in with my shoes, greeted me. It felt like I was inside some kind of five star hotel lounge, not a friend’s house. In every corner of the room, there was expensive looking furniture. I had the feeling that if I were to break one of these, I wouldn’t be able to pay for it even if I were to work for all my life.

“Amazing.”

When I expressed my honest opinion of the place, Rui, who was standing next to me, raised her brows in surprise.

“You don’t seem that surprised, Sara-san.”

“Well, yeah.”

No way in hell I wasn’t surprised. I was just faking it!

In any case, she seemed to like it better when I did this.

“Everyone who came to visit my house always had this uncomfortable look on their faces. I thought you’d be the same as them, Sara-san.”

“Well, the place may be big, but it’s still your house in the end, Rui.”

“Yeah, but…I don’t know why, I found you more obnoxious than I expected you’d be.”

What? Why was she insulting me already?

Fine if that was what she wanted. I’ll be as obnoxious as I want then.

“Will your house serve me a cup of tea at least?”

“If you want, we can get you thirty different brands of tea for you to choose and compare.”

She smirked as she said that. I admit that sounded interesting, but I had to refuse that offer. Before the voting began, I’d rather not gain any weight.

Rui’s room, we had to climb a set of stairs and go through a looooong corridor before we got there, looked more ordinary than I first expected.

The room was spacious, but it was only 12 tatami mats¹19.8 meter square. at most. Its floor was covered by wooden flooring, the furnishing was as ordinary as a girl’s room could get, and her bed was located at the other end of the room. Like, the only thing that caught my eye was the four large bookshelves, and nothing more. That was my first impression as I scanned through her room from the entrance.

“There’s no deer head on the wall? No bearskin rug too? Weird.”

“…So that’s what you’re into? Now, I’m looking forward to visiting your room next, Sara-san.”

No, unlike yours, my family was a normal one.

Anyway, since she started to refer to me with ‘Sara,’ this meant our little game of playing lovers had already begun.

“Do you even sleep here usually?”

Everything was way too tidy. Even the spine of the books in those shelves were neatly arranged by their publishers. She must have put a lot of effort into this, which was typical of her, I guess.

The color scheme of the room was light blue. From her bed covers to her pillows, all were covered in light blue. Actually, even the trinkets on the cork board had the same color as lapis lazuli. She wasn’t lying when she said she loved blue.

As I was looking around, Rui gave me a half-eyed stare.

“…Stop staring too much at it. It’s embarrassing.”

“This is the first time I’m inside my lover’s room, so can you just bear with it a little?”

“…Fine. Just a little.”

She let out a sigh. Her cheeks were bright red, so she wasn’t lying when she said it was embarrassing, but she let me do whatever I wanted anyway. With that kind of pretty face and this pushover tendency, I was kinda afraid that she’d attract the wrong people…

Anyway, since she gave me her permission, I could freely look at her book shelves then~

“You know, Rui?”

“Yes?”

“There are too many GL books in here.”

One of the shelves was filled to the brim with books about girl-to-girl romance. I knew that she was into something like this, like if she wasn’t, she wouldn’t ask me to become her lover, but… I never expected that she’d be this…obsessed with it. I even recognized some of the more hardcore books inside the shelf. It seemed like she didn’t even bother to hide those.

Hearing my words, Rui let out a fake cough.

“You were just looking at their covers. How could you tell they’re GL?”

Oh crap, I fell for that.

What a cheeky girl.

“So, how do you like the new volume of Yuri is My Job?”

“I like it— Wait, i-it’s a good manga, that’s why I like it!”

“You sure you don’t like it because it’s GL?”

“…Honestly, I just bought it because I was curious. You know, a lot of girls in our school confessed to me, so I wanted to understand how they felt. So, I bought those books.”

“I see. Got sucked into the rabbit hole before you knew it.”

“…But the story is actually good…anyway, does it matter? You’re my lover and you’re also a girl!”

Sure, I guess.

While I was browsing through her bookshelves, Rui took the bell on the small table and rang it. A tinkly sound echoed through the air. After a while, a knock, accompanied by a woman’s voice came from behind the door.

“Yes, how can I help you?”

“Tea for two, please.”

“Understood.”

Now that was quite the fancy exchange.

Rui fiddled in embarrassment, realizing that this wasn’t something an average person could do.

“…That was Kitagawa-san, the maid who drove us here. She has been working here since I was in middle school. I think she was a college student back then…”

I nodded to her words. That maid, with her slicked-back bang, was quite pretty if I may say so myself. Based on Rui’s words, she must be around twenty four or twenty five, but she looked younger than her age.

“A-Anyway, let’s get our work done quickly.”

Fidgeting nervously, she sat on one of the cushions in front of her table. Well, if that was what my honey wanted, who was I to disobey her? So, I put the book in my hand back on the bookshelf and sat down.

“Sure, let’s finish our work first.”

“…’First,’ huh?”

She let out a disapproving groan. Today was our day off, so we should have plenty of time to play around.

“Alright, let’s do this.”

What we needed to do was to decide on the budget based on the student’s population using previous year’s budget as a reference. This wasn’t a hard thing to do, just a minor chore that anyone could do. But, that was most of our committee work, just minor chores.

Rui and I silently moved our pens. With a calculator next to us, we continued to scribble more numbers into the paper in front of us.

Accompanied by the scent of the warm tea and the body temperature of this serious-looking girl in front of me…working together with her in this silence felt rather strange.

Unlike usual, I felt calm, and it was easy for me to concentrate. I guess working inside such a great house had an effect on me. Or maybe it was because the black tea was great.

It took a little over two hours to finish everything. We made more progress than expected, so we ended up almost finishing the thing instead of just creating a rough draft like we previously planned.

“Is this enough?”

“…There might be something we’re missing.”

“You’re so uptight, Rui.” I said, resting my cheekbones on the table. At school, I didn’t have a lot of chances to observe her face from this distance, so I didn’t find this situation boring at all. Then again, who’d get bored watching a pretty girl’s face?

My eyes didn’t leave her side, watching her leisurely.

What I had come to notice was the fact that her beauty didn’t only come from her natural good-looks, but it also came from her aura and character.

“…”

Ah, she noticed my stare. I could see her cheeks starting to redden. Oh, my, could it be~?

“…Rui. Are you trying to stall for time?”

“I-I’m not!”

“It’s useless trying to deny it, you won’t make a careless mistake that warrants a thorough review.”

As she was flipping through the papers, I grabbed her hand. She looked up and our gazes met.

“A-Ah.”

She immediately yanked her hand away before standing up.

“…I-I need to go to the toilet.”

“Okay.”

I saw her departing back. Huh, wait, would she even come back here later— Nah, there was no way she’d just run away like that. The Rui I knew wasn’t such a coward. But, there was still a possibility…

“Whatever.”

To waste some time, I rummaged through her bookshelves.

There were a bunch of good GL books here, so even if I were to get locked up for two weeks, I wouldn’t get bored. Huh? In the corner of one of the shelves, there was an album.

I pulled it out without hesitating. Then, something fell down from it, a stuffed envelope. Whatever notes that were previously inside it were now scattered to the floor. Wait, this…?

Those colorful papers looked pretty familiar to me.

“Love letters…?”

You could see how meticulous of a person she was for storing these kinds of things. Some of these letters were old; Maybe she got it back when she was still in grade school or something.

Of course, I had a conscience. There was no way I’d just read through those letters carelessly. Not only was it disrespectful of me to invade her privacy, it was also morally wrong to peek at others’ letters.

Still, as expected of one of the remaining two Belle Fleur candidates, her popularity was something else. I even felt envious of her. Anyway, forget about that, time to look through the album. What conscience? I lied, I had none.

It was her grade school graduation album. I flipped through it until I arrived at a certain class photo. Among those kids, there was a pretty girl that stood out from the rest. Well, obviously it was Rui.

“…Hm? Huh?”

I stared at the picture closely. For some reason her face looked really familiar to me. Maybe because they were the same person? Or maybe because there were features of her face that she retained when she grew up? Dunno, can’t think of anything.

Then, I just flipped through the pages randomly. As expected of Rui, I could immediately find where she was at a glance. Throughout the pictures, I could barely find her smiling. I guess she was an uptight girl even back then, huh?

Just as I was doing that, the door suddenly slammed open.

“W-Wait! W-W-What are you looking at?!”

“Ah, welcome back, Rui. I thought you’d run away, but it seems you didn’t. Good girl~”

She snatched the album from my hand. Rude.

Her face was bright red.

“Sorry about that. Anyway, you were cute back then too, huh?”

“That isn’t— Whatever! I really can’t let my guard down even a little against you! You didn’t see anything else, did you?”

“Well, there are those love letters, but don’t worry, I put them back without reading them.”

I just honestly answered her, but she glared at me.

“You’re so popular, aren’t you, Rui?”

“T-That’s not— It isn’t what you think! Seriously!”

Suddenly, she became meek.

“…Um…”

She opened her mouth, but it seemed like she couldn’t put her thoughts into words properly.

“A while ago, you told me that you want to become the Belle Fleur so that you can be loved by a lot of people, right, Sara-san?”

“Yes.”

“That…um…”

After placing the album away, she looked at me with a fervent gaze.

“…Am I not enough for you…?”

Huh? What?

“…That’s a good one.”

I almost thought that she was serious, but this was Rui we were talking about. This was obviously one of her schemes.

So, I responded. I brought my face closer to hers and kissed her lips. Sweet, like honey.

She embraced my neck with her twin arms as she accepted my kiss. Somehow she was more aggressive than usual today.

“Well, if you agree to stay by my side even after our two months agreement is done, I might consider that.”

Her big eyes twinkled in excitement.

“Really?!”

That caught me completely off guard. Seriously, a pretty girl who knew how to use her own beauty like this was dangerous!

I almost fell into her trap there!

“…Well, of course not. I know how cunning you can be. You can just throw me aside as soon as you win and I won’t even be able to do something about it.”

As I told her those words, her face relaxed a little.

“That’s my line, isn’t it? I mean that sounds like something you’d do. Even though I’m already falling over heels for you, Sara-san~”

We caressed each other’s hair as we exchanged our words of love. As I landed a soft kiss on her cheek, she squinted her eyes, indulging in the pleasure. Well, this seemed to be the right timing for it.

When I pushed her down on the bed, she stopped me. “Wait a minute,” she said with a serious expression.

“Huh? What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, but…um… How far are you planning to go from here…? I asked you this question a lot, but you haven’t told me anything…”

Actually I hadn’t given it that much thought. Should we go all the way? …Wait, what the hell was I thinking? Going all the way? No no no! I could feel my cheeks getting hotter.

Maybe she was thinking about the same thing as me, Rui turned her head to the side in embarrassment.

“I-It’s my first time doing something like this…”

“O-Okay…”

Ugh, she shouldn’t have said that! Now I was also feeling embarrassed!

“Well, I don’t mind, as long as it’s with you, Sara-san…”

“Alright…”

“I mean, you seem to be experienced in this…”

“Um… About that…”

There was no way I could tell her that this was also my first time!

“…I-I mean, if you feel guilty or burdened over this later, then we’d have to find another way to continue our showdown, right? There’s a legitimate issue in this, alright? We can’t just— Kya!”

Without waiting for her to finish her sentence, I buried my face on her chest. Her scent was pleasant, similar to the black tea I enjoyed a few minutes ago. I lifted my face slightly to see hers.

“Rui. Listen to me.”

“O-Okay…”

Her heartbeat echoed loudly in my ears.

“What I’m going to tell you is my honest feelings. I won’t sugarcoat it”

“Y-Yes…?”

Toward her bright red face, I poured my heartfelt words.

“You see, when a pretty girl like you is clearly offering herself to me, there’s no way I’d pass it up.”

That line was supposed to make her fall for me.

But for some reason, she gave me a cold stare.

“…So you’re this kind of person, Sara-san.”

“Huh?!”

Wait, what did I do wrong?! Why was she scorning me?

Seeing my reaction, she giggled.

“You are…a funnier person than I expected, Sara-san…”

That was just her indirect way of calling me a pervert, wasn’t it?!

“Look, I’d never say those words to just anyone else, though! Those words are only for you and you only!”

“…You shoulda said that in the beginning.”

She laughed after hearing my excuse, and I ended up laughing with her too.

“Well, thanks to this we know a little more about each other, I guess.”

“Right.”

It was kind of funny that we only got to know each other better after all those intimate skinships we had.

But still…

“I won’t go easy on you.”

Today was my turn on the attack, that I wouldn’t give up no matter what. Hearing my words, Rui crossed her arms in front of her chest and pouted her lips.

“When I went to the toilet…I made sure to tell Kitagawa-san and the others to not approach the room…because I need the space to concentrate…”

Huh? That meant…?

“So, we can do whatever we want, you can squeal as hard as you want and no one will catch us? Good girl, Rui~”

She looked up at me, as if asking me to praise her more.

“…Y-You’ll make me feel good in return, right?”

Make you feel good? Of course not, I’d do way more than that.

I brought my face closer to the girl who was lying defenselessly on her bed.

Eagerly, I pulled up Rui’s upper garment. Her eyes trembled helplessly as I did so.

So exciting. Those helpless eyes, as if suggesting that nothing could be done except for succumbing to the other person’s will. Exactly the kind of look that I loved.

Her rather big chest was covered by a frilly blue bra. When I scratched the top of the fabric with my fingernail, a low moan escaped her lips.

“I see how it is~ You knew I’d do this to you, that’s why you went out of your way to dress yourself up like this, hm~?”

“N-No! T-This is the kind of underwear I normally use…”

When I pinched the tip of her chest lightly, Rui jerked her upper body. Oh no, this was so fun. As expected, I should be the lead in our relationship. Just look at this, a slight move from me and she already squirmed helplessly like this.

I leaned closer to her, completely ignoring the fact that my skirt would get wrinkled by this.

Using both my elbows as supports so that I wouldn’t crush her, I kissed her. Without any hesitation, I stuck my tongue in, thrusting it deeply, moving it against her tongue passionately as she responded eagerly, trying to fight me for dominance.

This single kiss could describe our relationship as a whole. Essentially, we were doing things to put each other down, but we still took care to make each other feel good. Her eyes were moist as she looked up at me. The sight made her seem so fragile, as if I could break her with just a touch. Her sweet scent made my mind go crazy.

I indulged myself in this scene, as I could feel my heart pounding even faster than it already did.

Against such a scene, I believed no one would be able to restrain themselves.

At this rate…maybe even I would fall for her for real…

So I made my move.

That was one thing that should never happen. To distract myself from my feelings, I decided to indulge in the act.

I slipped my hand under her skirt. The first thing I did was caressing her thighs, indulging myself in the elastic sensation of her flesh as I dug my finger on it. No need to rush. Even if I were to take it slowly, both of us would still enjoy it.
